Tommy Adebayo is a dynamic and inspiring leader with a wealth of experience and a passion for empowering migrant professionals. As the National Chairperson of African Professionals of Australia (APA) Ltd, he plays a pivotal role in helping overseas-trained professionals integrate seamlessly into Australian society and the workplace. APA is the only not-for-profit organisation in Australia dedicated to this mission.
Tommy Adebayo
With a strong academic background, Tommy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a Postgraduate degree in Oil and Gas Engineering, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He currently serves as the Safety and Relationship Manager at Total Marine Technology, a leading subsea engineering company in Perth, Australia. With over 17 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Tommy has successfully managed multi-million-dollar subsea operation projects across Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Russia, and Nigeria.
Tommy is also the Co-founder and Head of Public/Private Partnerships at Aspramed Telehealth, a platform developed by three members of the diaspora in Australia to enhance evidence-based health services in Sub-Saharan Africa. His leadership and expertise in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) have been instrumental in developing safe working cultures and strategies across various organisations.

Tommy is a highly resilient HSEQ professional known for his ability to inspire and motivate stakeholders at all levels. With more than 15 years in senior HSEQ roles, he has spent the last decade coaching and developing managers and core stakeholders. His international project management experience spans Malaysia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Russia, India, Vietnam, Nigeria, and all states of Australia.
